Paranoia 1.0

Too much exposure to mind-bending computer code can turn your brain to rot.

I keep paying good money for upgrades of old programs, only to find the “upgrade” has less features and is more clunky than the old version.

Paranoia: 1.0
Paranoia: 1.0

Now I know why… we’re all de-evolving.

If Lance Henriksen is your apartment maintenance man — hello? Do yourself a big favor and move to a better place in town. Where he goes, nothing good ever comes.

Bosses love to treat computer geniuses like crap. It makes them feel smart, too. Beautiful women who pose for photo shoots in virtual computer games have no idea how many innocent men they destroy.

I’d die to have sex with that dame. Sure I would.

The first time you walk into an empty, ugly street is scary. The second time, the screenwriter is being lazy. The third time is just plain pathetic. Sure, the first time a gallon of milk is $20, the second time $40. Inflation is scary, I know.

If none of all the possible evils kills this guy, hemorrhoids sure as hell will, living on a pure milk diet. Does he have mother issues? Still sucking at the maternal teat?

In an apartment house full of crazies, it all starts to seem quite normal after a while. It would be better to have at least one normal friend or apartment neighbor — a butcher, a politician, a roofer, or a dog walker.

Somebody who shows up and jolts us back to reality. Somebody who stays normal and, in so doing, keeps the edge sharp on all the dysfunctional types.

I used to design commercial air conditioning systems. I have yet to see a system where you can crawl through a giant duct to peep on that beautiful dame next door.

Believe you me, I’ve tried.
