The big rating agency Moody’s has downgraded the entire higher education complex in the United States to “negative,” saying downward pressure on the revenue stream caused by constraints on students to pay higher tuition hurts profits.
They are even pessimistic about universities with a large research and development base.

I have never been a fan of “for profit” universities, especially the ones like ITT Tech that give “engineering” degrees to people after 2 years of nothing but math, science and engineering classes.
The quality of graduates of schools like that are admittedly exactly the kind of engineers large companies want – professionals with no qualms about destroying the environment, foreign cultures, or the entire planet for that matter, so long as you make a profit.
Even a few required “liberal arts” electives are a waste of money. A conscience only gets in the way. Mere employees don’t need a conscience or ethics or morality. That’s the realm of management, the board of directors, the investors.
This Moody’s downgrade has quite ominous implications otherwise. It implies that education is not at all a priority to investors. It says that it’s okay for the average level of education of blacks leaving high school is the 8th grade (and for blacks graduating from black colleges it’s a high school level diploma).
It’s more profitable to outsource professional jobs than to train Americans to fill professional jobs in the U.S. Our lower educational system is so piss poor that it’s just not worth the trouble spending the first year or two in college getting students up to speed on the basics.
De-evolution is far more profitable.
