Worse yet, the Jobs Council’s charter is about to expire, and Obama has given no indication that he intends to renew it. (The Jobs Council was created by Executive Order 13564 on January 31, 2011, to expire after 2 years unless renewed.)
Jobs are the number one issue with all Americans.
Both parties are aghast that Obama might actually not renew the Jobs Council. It has actually met only four times, all over a year ago; but still, there’s plausible deniability if it’s still on the books.
The White House insists, “the Jobs Council has met regularly,” and “the president is focused on jobs.”
“How can he possibly void the Jobs Council while 12 million Americans are out of work,” Republicans said in hushed tones to The Hill.
Dare I say so, but “How can Obama be promoting a plan to give citizenship to 20 million illegal immigrants while 12 million Americans are out of work, 8 million who want full time jobs are working part time jobs, and another 6 million have given up looking for any kind of work?
It’s pretty damn ludicrous for the White House to continue to insist “the president is focused on jobs.” He didn’t mention jobs in his inauguration address.
He’s starting a grand tour to promote his amnesty for illegals this coming week. The only jobs he’s worried about are jobs for illegal immigrants.
Hell, whatever happened to Obama’s promise to create a cabinet level “Secretary of Business” in his debates with Mitt Romney? It sounded like a joke then. It really was a joke! Ha-ha.
Obama’s made Joe Biden “Secretary of Gun Safety.” Hillary Clinton is “Secretary of Disinformation.” Obama has even elevated himself to “His Royal Highness of Illegal Immigrant Rights.”
My guess is the Jobs Council will die a quiet death on Thursday. Nobody in the drive-by liberal media will cover it.
Even the conservatives will avoid the topic. Their emphasis has shifted to gaining the illegal immigrant vote, what little they still have access to. The new tug of war in Washington is who gets the illegal votes.
Jobs are the last thing on their minds right now.
