The headline job numbers both parties quote are all deceptive. Obama loves to say there are 3 million more jobs now than when he was elected four years ago.
The Republicans say there are actually 4 million fewer total jobs in the U.S. Both sides are horribly optimistic.

This scary graph indicates there are 5 million more part time jobs now than 4 years ago. Obama’s 3 million “new jobs” are all low-wage part-time jobs.
The Republicans fail to say there are “4 million fewer total jobs in America, and 5 million more part time jobs equals a deficit of 9 million jobs.”
It’s actually even worse than that. Check out this graph.

Before the recession there were 8 million more full time jobs than part time jobs. Now it’s the complete opposite, with almost 8 million more part time jobs than full time jobs.
Nobody should be bragging about any of these numbers.
Unless you’re a Big Business Republican who seeks boatloads of profit by replacing full time jobs that have lots of benefits with part time jobs with zero benefits.
Unless you’re a Big Socialist Democrat who seeks millions more voters who are dependent on welfare and government freebies, the more desperate and dependent the better.
Doesn’t anybody care about America any more?
