This is Greek for “good health,” and the Nazi euphemism for the chemical termination of the incurably insane and the permanently disabled or deformed who were unable to work. It also included experiments of mass starvation, including of the elderly.
We do just the opposite in America. We pay welfare mothers (terminally indigent, often drug-addicted, single, female, often black or Hispanic) to have babies. We pay for their school and meals and daycare and, all too often, their imprisonment when they grow up to be just like their mothers. Consider:
- 85% of blacks are born to single mothers
- 50% of births in America are paid by Medicare
The Republicans want a voucher system for seniors to put a cap on lifetime medical benefits. After that, you’re on your own.
Obama is fond of saying that most people spend three times what they pay into Medicare. Although this ignores interest accrued which, after 50 years, doubles the net contribution or more). Obama never mentions that his minority base never pays anything into Medicare, so they spend infinitely more than they put into the system.
We should be forcing blacks and Hispanics to have just one child per family (or, at last, one child paid by Medicare) so minority parents can devote 100% of their efforts to being sure their child studies hard and makes something of themselves.
Instead, we promote substandard education at every level and import 100,000 “high tech” workers a year. We’ve got all the talent right here, but it’s cheaper to import it than to teach science and math in our schools.
