Although America is officially a republic (where the people elect officials, who then make all the decisions), we have devolved into the worst possible incarnation of democracy.
The fallacy of democracies has always been seen as “rule by the unwashed masses.” That’s happening now in America, where the 47% who pay no federal income taxes (mostly blacks and Hispanics) have through their overwhelming uniformity of support for the Democrat Party gained control of our government. They have voted themselves free health care, free jobless benefits, unlimited welfare eligibility, and even free cell phones (with Uncle Sam paying their monthly bills).
The Obama administration adds the demonic power of plutocracy to his so-called democratic mandate. The Chief Executive simply does not enforce any laws he does not like or that act against his black and Hispanic base.
Hispanics here illegally have de facto amnesty. Obama has reduced all minimum sentencing requirements for all blacks and Hispanics accused of federal crimes.

The fiscal situation of a huge national debt and humongous annual deficit, by placing a constant budgetary crisis on Washington, gives Obama all the authority he needs to slice and cut to please his base – 100,000 convicted felons were released from federal prison on account of sequestration; illegal aliens all.
For the especially egregious policies, Team Obama has only to take an official “poll” and to cite the result as justification. “The American people want to – support this, that or the other – overwhelmingly.” Where in fact, “the American people” is defined as the 47% who pay no federal taxes; i.e., Obama’s minority base.
All our other elected officials are just as obnoxiously remote, if less obvious about it. As a Republic, they are not required to do what their constituency asks; as plutocrats, they can cater exclusively to special interest groups, and as a “democracy” they have the freedom to ignore all the big issues if they damn well want to.
And there’s absolutely nothing anybody anywhere can do about it.
