Basking in the glow – of glorius victory

There is a phenomenon called basking in the glow. Studies have been done that show testosterone levels increase when somebody – man or woman – watches their favorite football team, say, winning a tough game on TV. What happens after a whole season of victories, culminating in a national championship – do all the fans have a permanently elevated testosterone level? There are countless variations on this theme. A person who has a certain kind of truck, say, always “basks in the glow” to watch the glittery TV ads showing them doing heroic tests. Is our culture suffering from testosterone poisoning, driving us back down the evolutionary ladder. Does this have anything to do with the dramatic drop in fertility in both sexes; reducing the maximum age women can have children to the early 30’s and men to the mid 30’s?
