We are pleased to offer our own CONSERVATIVE Academy Award nominations, for writing that is elevating, entertaining and thrilling.
Naturally, no such production would ever make it in Hollywood, so we have a fine selection of FREE screenplays that have placed in the semi-finals or above in one of the major international screenwriting competitions (Blue Cat, Creative World Awards, Page Awards or the Nicholls Fellowship).
The scripts were contributed anonymously by professionals who, obviously, don’t want to get blacklisted in Hollywood for writing quality material like this.
The five author’s real names were changed to protect the innocent (and the talented). The material was also edited for consistency in grammar, formatting, language, and so forth. NOTE: Even conservative screenwriters have humongous egos…
Our criteria for submissions was minimal foul language, no gratuitous sex, no senseless violence, no cultural annihilation, and a spiritually uplifting theme.

Hurricane Flag (comedy/satire) The Democrat president gets stranded in the home of a psychotic Vietnam veteran when a major hurricane shuts down a small southern town.
Kharga Doom (action/adventure) Raiders of the Lost Ark with all the facile blarney replaced by 100% facts from the historical record.
Fatherland (thriller) Two grad students struggle to unravel a diabolical scheme by the ChiComs to obliterate the ozone layer, bringing on an environmental Armageddon.
Deo Vindice (mystery) A defrocked minister remodels a house haunted by a Confederate general who was shot after defending Vicksburg from a massive sneak attack on Christmas Eve 1862.
(“Deo Vindici” is Latin for “God Will Vindicate,” a famous saying in the south after the Civil War.)
Crashdown (drama/scifi) is the story of a severely disabled grad student (vision issues) struggling against the “NASA culture,” academic egos and bureaucratic red tape to get a degree in rocket science.
