Himmler would be quite proud to know that his lifelong obsession has its very own cable TV channel now called “The History Channel.” Their most popular programming investigates structures all over the world allegedly built by “ancient aliens,” exhibiting stone-crafting technologies that cannot even be equaled by modern diamond-tipped saws and precision laser drills operated by computers.
Aliens or Humans?
My bet is on the Nazis and Himmler’s Anhenerbe Institute. I’d much rather attribute all those past engineering feats (some even date to structures built like the Romans) to human beings rather than to aliens.
That’s just the evil, egocentric Nazi in me, though. It’s much more politically correct to believe in dominant alien races who once enslaved humans to build great things. It fits in much better with the liberal war on God and religion.
