It’s been months since ex-CIA chief General Petraeus’ affair with that foxy reporter was front page news. We’ve been through several more hearings on Benghazi before the Senate and the House. Nobody mentioned Petraeus.
The moral is that if you ever want to REALLY cover something up in Washington, you associate it with a lurid affair, and you’re SO off the hook. Any prying question can be instantly deflected by accusing them of harassment, prying, bullying; you name it.
As Secretary Clinton famously retorted to the whole Benghazi investigation, “What does it matter any more?” She’s the expert on lurid sexual innuendo.
At one point last fall, Petraeus’ family exhorted, “You’ll learn the truth soon enough – and it will blow you away. Just wait!”
I’m tired of waiting. I’m pretty sure what the whole hoo-hah was about anyway – gays serving openly in the military. Petraeus didn’t have the guts to speak out. He would rather go down in history as an adulterous traitor than a good man. So be it.
The Romans used to keep their soldiers busy building roads and aqueducts to keep the gay beast at bay. Every general since Caesar has known the dangers of homosexuality with so many tight male bods in close quarters.
With Obama’s extremist homo agenda in the military escalating (repeal of DADT, requiring gays accused of any crime in the military to be represented by staff level JAG lawyers, full benefits to any partner whether you’re hitched or living together or not), how else can a good soldier like Petraeus object to the fact that gays commit three times more sexual assault in the military than heterosexuals?
They should give him a medal.
Kudos to General Allen for his own affair with an even more ravishing dish. Way to slap them homos up side the face like General Patton did down there in Sicily. Way to give the media the middle finger.
Way to put your wrench in her works!
Oh, damn. They just recused General Allen and his 30,000 pages of “virtual sex” emails with General Petraeus’ mistress’ BFF, of all wrongdoing.
Can’t go and void the Bill of Rights of Washington power-elites, now can we? He kept his filthy mouth shut, so he damn well deservers to be Supreme NATO Commander.
They’ll adore him in France.
