Congress has an approval rating of 5%.  What’s wrong with Americans?  Gridlock is the best thing that happened in Washington, especially with this hyper-active Obama White House.

” Shelter in the storm. “

Sure, Congress hasn’t done a whole hell of a lot in the last four years.  That didn’t stop Obama.  The White House saved up four years of regulations, and rolled out 6,125 new government regulations in the six weeks after election day.

They’ve vomited 15,000 new pages of new Obamacare rules, and that’s just a start.

What, you would rather Congress was a well-oiled machine and cranked out new bills as fast as Obama wants them?  Universal amnesty to 20 million illegal immigrants, while 24 million Americans are un- or under-employed (and Hispanic businesses are booming as never before, especially in Texas, where half of all new jobs have been created in the last 4 years).

$4 trillion for a Carbon Trade treaty?  Obama has already gutted the U.S. coal industry – you want him to gut our entire energy industry, as is his stated objective, destroying half the Fortune 500 companies?

Congress hasn’t passed a budget in four years.  Not one of Obama’s four budgets has received a single vote in either house of Congress from either party.  535 to zero times four equals 2140 to zero.

Congress gave Obama his wish right after he got elected, a $1 trillion stimulus plan.  Obama has manipulated Congress ever since, to the point where he has had three more $1 trillion stimulus plans, one each for the last three years.

The fiscal cliff resolution guarantees Obama $1 trillion more in spending until he leaves office – hell, for the next decade.

How much worse would it be now if Congress hadn’t been there to obfuscate Obama?  We would have a $20 trillion debt right now, and we would be worse than Greece.  We wouldn’t just be taking about austerity measures, we would be living them.

65% of Americans favor a balanced budget.  Obama is as far away as you can possibly get from that notion.

Call your Congressman and express yourself.

Ask for a balanced budget amendment.
