Obama is not alone in believing the Arab Spring was a resounding success. The liberal media supports him in this 100%. The facts are quite different.
Egypt’s once moderate government is now a radical Islamist one. One third of the seats in their new parliament are filled by the Muslim Brotherhood. Another third are controlled by an even more radical group.

Libya started off as a Muslim state. Now they are a Shariah state. Libya has no semblance of a central government. The nation is ruled by bands of roving thugs who enforce whatever extremist version of Shariah law that suits them.
Syria’s Arab Spring revolt puts it all into perspective. Al Qaeda fully participates on the rebel side. Iran and Iraq have thrown their support behind the Assad regime in Syria. The civil war is spreading into Turkey, Lebanon and Israel. Ominously, China and Russia have also thrown their weight behind the Assad regime.
Obama is convinced sanctions will force Iran to stop their nuclear enrichment activities. He hears only what he wants to hear.
Obama doesn’t hear the European Union’s reluctance to increase sanctions on Iran. He doesn’t see their dependency on Iranian oil. He ignores the now extreme imbalance in Iran’s currency that has made their oil cheaper than ever on the world market.
China is a good ally. Obama doesn’t understand that China’s currency manipulation keeps the real value of their products at a 40% discount to ours.
Obama is clueless that the $100 billion our government lost in the Solyndra solar panels firm was lost because China’s solar panels are 40% cheaper. Our green technology doesn’t have a chance. Yet, Obama plans many more such ventures, all doomed to failure.
Obama is finished campaigning in the U.S., and now he’s going to campaign in the rest of the world. The glory! He doesn’t care about the humongous fiscal crisis looming at the end of the year.
He cares only about his own ego and projecting it worldwide; alas, to the magnetosphere and beyond.
